Model GB80016: Recon White L.E.D. Flashlight - Blue/Green/Red/Clear Lens Covers
Gerber Legendary Blades

Now you have the right light at the right time.
The Recon employs Gerber's exclusive D.I.A.L. technology - Diode Illumination Adjustable Lens. A unique patent-pending feature that shines four different colors from one super-bright white L.E.D.: white for general use; green for map reading; blue for fluid identification; and red to preserve night vision.
Long life from one AA battery, included.

3.8" Overall

Features:

  • Super bright white LED with three extra colored lens covers
  • D.I.A.L. technology - Diode Illumination Adjustable Lens
  • Pocket clip and lanyard
  • Battery included

If you think the concept of multi-tasking is overrated, don't tell it to the guys who developed the patent-pending Recon. Because this long-awaited L.E.D format lets you choose from four different colors of light, depending on your needs of the moment.

The official name for this proprietary technology is D.I.A.L.™, which stands for Diode Illumination Adjustable Lens. Basically, this new design lets you dial in the color that'll serve you best: White for general situations, red for preserving night vision, blue for identifying fluids, and green for map reading.

It's all powered by one AA battery—you can anticipate long battery life—which come with the Recon. It weighs just 2.6 ounces. Yet it delivers a military ton of task-specific light, right when you need it.

Useful tool
This flashlight has a number of uses. Its small & easy to carry. The belt clip is weak. A stronger clip would be great. Its great for reading serial numbers with the blue light agaianst black metal.. The rest work for normal uses.

ALWAYS THERE
I've carried this light for the last 4 years. Has a little wear and tear from rubbing up against my swiss army knife but it works every time. The differnt color filters come in handy in low light situations (restaurants, theaters, etc...) going to pick up anthor one just because.

nice little light
It is a funny little thing, not as bright as the other single LED AA fed flashlights. I assume the lenses dim it a little. Just perfect for my use-finding my way when hunting before dawn.
