Description
KA1264: Tanto Fighting Knife, Plain Edge
KA-BAR Knives

The most famous fixed blade knife in the World - "the KA-BAR" - was designed to serve our troops during World War II and is still doing its job, with honors, more than 50 years later. The Tanto blade shape, of Asian influence, has a thick pointed blade that's good for penetration. Coupled with a classic leather stacked handle and Kydex sheath, this knife is designed for the toughest of tasks.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Kydex Sheath
Kydex Sheath
Waterproof, scratch resistant, and low friction. It will hold its shape and makes a great alternative to leather.

The Best Knife Nobody Knows About
Beautifully balanced, with a higher grind and a wider tang than the USMC model. It feels so good in the hand, you will want to fondle it every day. Just make sure you get a good sharpener also.

Great knife
I will be using this knife teaching grand kids bushcraft. I finally think i have a knife that is at its best when being treated hard and will beg for more. Five stars for the knife but for the kydex sheath i give four stars only because i would have liked to have had a molle attachment option, perhaps a couple homemade ranger bands with A strap? Will adapt, improvise, overcome.
