Kershaw Knives describes this item as follows:

For top performance and attention-getting style, it's the Kershaw Ken Onion Blur series. Blurs feature premium 13C26 stainless-steel blades for strength and corrosion resistance. Choose standard or partially serrated blades. Blurs are SpeedSafe equipped for smooth, one-handed opening. The anodized aluminum handles are durable and lightweight. For extra traction and a secure grip, the handles are outfitted with Trac-Tec inserts. The rough Trac-Tec material provides a non-slip grip even in wet and slippery conditions. Ideal for extreme or everyday situations, the Blur series offers power and performance. New for 2007, we've added a Stone Washed Blur with its terrific handle look and S30V stainless-steel blade for toughness and ease of sharpening.

Nice design by Ken Onion
I use my knife everyday, from cutting rope, opening boxes/packaging. The one hand assisted opening is nice when your holding something with your other hand.I read all the details about the knife before I bought it, so there were know surprises.

Very sharp out of the box
This is the first and probably the last assisted opening folder I will own. Not because I have any gripes with the knife itself, but because assisted openers are somewhat of a grey area where I'am from. (The local distributer for SOG disables the assisted opening feeature for their knives before sale.) Ok, about the knife itself. Its light, feels good in your hands when you're using it, the blade is VERY sharp out of the box and the SpeedSafe assisted opening is a blast to play with. My only problem with the Blur is with opening it initially, rubbed my thumbs raw on the thumbstuds which are a little sharp/rough around the edges and also because I wasn't used to them yet. The pocket clip is slightly stiff and difficult to get to clip on your pants pocket initiallt but it gets better over time. Though I think the end of the clip can be made to protrude out less as it caught on and tore a small tear in the side bolsters of the driver side bucket seat in my car. Other than that, its a great knife!
