Description
KS1770: OD-2
Kershaw Knives

Kershaw’s OverDrive-2 was created to give you the “OverDrive” style you want at a value price. Designed by Lee Williams, this larger OD-2 has a blade of 8CR13MOV stainless steel to take and hold its edge well. The glass-filled nylon handle provides stability, rigidity, and a non-slip grip. Of course, the OD-2 is one of our Flipper knives. Just pull back on the blade protrusion and flick your wrist forward slightly and knife will open smoothly and lock in place. But the OD offers a twist on the basic Flipper. Once the blade is open, the blade protrusion folds into a recess in the liner to give the OD-2 a sleek, smooth line all the way down.

Cons: None
Best knife I have ever owned
I use this as a small box knife and for daily use. One handed use is easy and quick. It is perfectly sized for light duty, and is workplace acceptable. The clip doesn't tear holes in my pockets, the way other knife clips have. The blade is very sharp, and the liner lock is excellent. I could never say enough good things about this particular knife.

Nice, small
My wife loves this gift. Small, quick , impressive. Problem with locking at first, but OK now.

Sleek design, works well
I bought this knife to fit along side my hip pocket wallet. It didn't fit as I wanted, but that's not the knife's fault--the handle was a bit too thick. The flipper mechanism is a multiplying lever in that it moves a short distance when flipping the blade a long distance. This means that the user must apply quick, flicking pressure on the flipper or the blade will not fully open to the locked position. The mechanism works well, once you've mastered the technique. The blade was dull upon receipt. That reduced my rating by one star. Otherwise, the knife is a good value for the price.
