Editor's Review: Great Knife
Ontario Knives makes a lot of combat knives and tools. Mostly, they feature combat fixed blade knives. However, they do make some awesome folders and we really like this new one, the TAC-1. It has a button locking system that works to release the knife from the open position. It looks like it could be an automatic, but this version is totally manual. It’s super light weight with a G10 handle that does not need liners and the texturing gives it a great feeling grip. The lockup is very solid. The blade shape is a little unusual in that it is very wide towards the handle and comes directly to the tip with a straight top and an angled “belly” on the cutting edge. The grind is a flat saber grind. All in all it seems very solid and lightweight and would be excellent in a combat situation. It’s also a great knife for every-day-carry.
