great little edc blade

this knife came very sharp out of the box and the assisted opening is very fast and smooth. keep it oiled if you want consistent opening as this knife can get a gummed up pretty easily. id put this knife number 2 next to my kershaw scallion as my favorite edc blade. its a little small at 1.9 inches but for most daily tasks its sufficient . for most of us we are going to use our small edc blades for opening boxes cutting twine etc. and this knife excells in those tasks do to it blade shape and sharpness. it is also very slim and light for the materials used. its one of those knives you dont realize is on you until you need it because it is just so small . i would reccomend this to anyone who wants a very nice gentlemans type assisted opener. i think what you get in this blade is worth the 40 bucks and although many might disagree i would take this over the flash one , although the flash is light and has a larger blade, the twitch 1 is thinner and has the option of using a flipper or "kick" to help open the blade which is in my opinion a superior opening design. 5 star knife!

Great Little Knife With A Big Flaw

I got this knife as a gift and wound up keeping it. It was everything I wanted it in a knife. The handle has a very good feel to it and is an extremely solid knife with a very good edge. The pocket clip keeps it snug and sound in your pocket without worry. Now I as much as I do love this knife, I have to give it a 2 for two reasons.I had the knife for a few months and the spring in the knife broke which is understandable. Thankfully this knife has a lifetime warranty. Got my knife back and it went immediately into my pocket where it belongs. Two months later, the spring breaks again! I don't abuse my knives or use them for anything more than cutting tape and fishing line. Between shipping and repair time, the knife spent more time in the shop then it did in my pocket. The pocket clip also would stay tight no matter how much I tightened it.

Almost Perfect

My Twitch arrived the other day and it is almost perfect for an EDC knife. It is solid and has surprising heft for such a small knife. The SOG assisted opening feature works well, although a little differently from my others. Instead of a light push of the thumb studs, the Twitch requires a finger nail pull on the ridged "flipper" that protrudes from the back of the case. It took me about an hour of messing around to figure out the right actuation move. Trying to open the knife with the thumb studs is an exercise in futility. Additionally, the thumb studs protrude enough to hang up a little bit on the way in or out of my jeans pocket. SOG could have skipped them on the Twitch. My second concern is the length of the knife when closed. For someone with large hands, it is almost too compact to open with one hand. If I were buying this knife today, I'd consider the slightly larger Blink or Twitch II. But it is a solid little knife and I'll keep it.
