Description
SP159GFP: C159GFP Air by Gayle Bradley PlainEdge
Spyderco

Bradley started making knives in 1988 and it became his day job in 2002. Best known for his hard-use knife designs that win World Cutting Competitions, his Air folder establishes him in the world of lightweight production gent’s knives. The Air is light as air with a featherweight glass fiber handle, titanium skeletonized internal liners and Michael Walker LinerLock. The blade is Crucible’s version of tool steel called CPM-M4. It incorporates their CPM-powdered metal manufacturing process in a tool steel with a superfine, consistent steel-grain structure, vaulting the steel’s already impressive impact resistance to even greater heights.

Small
A great LITTLE knife that is very sharp right out of the box. VERY lite and Small for the average hand. It is a very expensive key chain knife. If you have the extra $$$$$$ I would recommend you buy one.

perfect gents' knife
While it would be nice if it were made in the US, the Taiwan manufacturer is the same as the Spyderco Sage, which is a beautiful knife. This surpasses the Sage. The materials are top of the line (translucent carbon fiber, cpm m4 blade steel, hour glass shaped pillars) and the workmanship is beyond compare; most visible surfaces are polished, the carbon fiber is slightly undersized, showing the polished liners, blade centered. Razor sharp warncliffe blade with a needle point. This is a work of art.

Built Like An Airplane
Airplanes are built very strong yet are very light weight for their size. The "Air" by Spyderco is built the same way. It is very light, hence "AIR", yet solid as a Mack Truck, well maybe a Boeing 737. The CPM-M4 is a great blade steel. I found that it opened very easily, locked tight with the Walker liner lock. The profile of the blade and the grind are perfect for a casual use every day carry folder. Lastly, it looks very cool with the Silver Glass Fiber Handle scales. It is one of the strongest Spyderco knives I have owned, surprisingly so since it isn't a large knife like the Military or Police, yet probably stronger with the titanium handle liners. If you are looking for a good every day carry buy the "Air" by Spyderco.
