ZT0566: ZT0566 Hinderer & ZT Collaboration
Zero Tolerance Knives
A more compact version of the ZT0560.

Zero Tolerance Knives and Rick Hinderer team up again to create the new Zero Tolerance 0566. More compact than its larger brothers, the 0560 and 0561, the new 0566 is built for pure performance in an EDC-perfect size.

On the performance end, the blade is pure ELMAX powdered steel. With almost no impurities in the steel, the 0566’s blade can be sharpened to hair-popping levels—and also offers excellent
edge retention, strength, and toughness. For a secure grip, the front scale is textured G-10. The back is all stainless steel with a sturdy frame lock and lockbar stabilizer. The 0566 offers Zero Tolerance's quad-mounting system so users can choose tip-up/tip/down, left- or right-handed carry. And because it's a deep-carry clip, the knife will sit comfortably deep in the pocket.

For Rick Hinderer style in an easy-carry size, the new 0566 fits the bill.

de-assist this knife! asap!
de-assist this knife as soon as you get it out of the box, you will like it much better as a manual flipper. knife has good ergos and a perfect size for edc (imo). but d#mn is it tough to open while the torsion bar is still in it. [email protected] near took this knife back until i decided to de assist it. now it flips buttery smooth and still centers great. this is my first experiance with elmax steel but so far so good been edcing this knfe with moderate to hard use and the edge is holding up great! id recomend this knife to anyone, just de assist it first and you will love it. only gave it 4 of 5 stars due the difficulty opening with the torsion bar in place.

Nice knife for the price
Okay i'll get my one con out of the way first, this knife is not light by any means and I with they made a titanium version. With that said I love mine, I took the spring assist out and use it as a manual flipper and it's been great so far. After a little break-in it opens smoothly and quickly. This was my first Elmax and so far I like it better than S30V I am able to sharpen it quicker and it keeps an edge much longer. Gimping is just right and gives me enough traction without being uncomfortable and having a 4 position clip that carries deep is a nice bonus. All in all, great knife.

Great so far
Great knife. Yes, it's a little difficult to open and you have to use the flipper to do it, but I don't care about that. It will never open by accident, and I like that. My wife can't open it, so that's probably a nice safety feature as well, for me. If I wanted a knife to sit around and open repeatedly for fun -- and I've done that -- this would not be it. But I would also never expect a Spyderco or similar type to be as tough as this or other ZTs. Mine is probably the sharpest out-of-the-box knife I've bought, and I've bought quite a few. It flicks open quickly when I need it and the lock-up is excellent. Fits my hand great and the jimping on the back is perfect. No complaints. Have only used it a little, but am sure it will be a sturdy heavy-duty carry knife.
