You can't go wrong. Get two.
This puts a scary sharp edge on my skandi-ground Mora knives. Put it on a flat surface and you can quickly put crisp 90 degree angles on the spine of your bushcraft knives. The underside has a "waffle" structure, which you can (carefully) grasp with the fingertips and hold the stone from below. It's too thin to hold by the edges while sharpening. Using light oil, when a bevel is flush against the stone, the knife glides across, like it's floating, not rubbing. But in a minute the oil starts turning into a faint gray slurry, showing that the fine abrasive is at work. You can "read" the smear patterns on the snow-white surface and see how much of your edge is in full contact, if you're doing it right. Buy a couple to use and keep, and a couple more for friends who deserve one.
