After you owned and used this, you will say "THIS IS THE REAL SURVIVAL KNIFE!!"I used it for hiking and camping all around java and borneo, Indonesia, and it prove its excellent, its not just a survival knife, its a survival sets : the knife and the case itself. Before, I use some combat knife that can easily chop a wood like an axe, but it is not much as great as this buddy. First the knife, it is a basic survival knife with a good edge, it comes with super sharp edge, blade thickness 5mm, 14 1/4" overall, it use polished stainless as material, with green hard nylon sheath and it has a 8" "effective" saw back that easily cut trough wood with minimal efforts. Its guard has a lashing holes. The stainless steel handle also has a waterproof cylinder that contain a latex tube, inside the latex tube you can found : fishing hook, line and sinkers, scalpel, latex tubes, tweezers, pencil, line and thread, safety pins, a flint, ordinary plasters and a compass. Such a many things in small storage place. Second, the sheath itself, it used a simple but effective quick release clip, green hard nylon belt sheath with leg ties. Sheath also stores a 7" overall skinner with 2 1/2" guthook blade. One piece stainless construction. Skinner features thumb ridge, ridged handle slot, lashing holes, flathead screwdriver end with bottle/can opener, OD green nylon lanyard. Also stored inside sheath is a pullout tray with latex powerbands for slingshot, empty vial and sharpening stone. Back of tray features ruler, S.O.S. signals and signaling mirror. Outside of sheath features several feet of OD green nylon cord and black coated stainless metal arms at tip of sheath that flip out to serve as slingshot. Back of sheath features sharpening stone.
