Pros: Overall Quality, Finish
Cons: None
Almost perfect, but not quite
Everything about this reproduction bayonet is great, except for the scabbard bracket that is on the wrong side of the scabbard. This makes it impossible to wear the bayonet in the correct manner, with the hook of the bayonet facing forward when worn on the left hip according to the "textbook" manner of wearing IJA equipment. I hope the manufacturer will rectify this noticeable defect in future production runs.

Very nice replica
Had been for years considering purchasing one for my father in-law who had an Arisaka rifle. He had given me the rifle before he died. I gave it to my son as a token from Grandpa. I was happy to present the bayonet to my son. It looks great, snapped into place on the rifle. Yes he said "VERY COOL, THANKS". The finish is nicely blued. The scabbard has an oiled soft pad inside to snugly protect the blade. Yes, it's unsharpened but that is OK. We are very happy.

If it's anything like the real one
I'm not sure about the exacts of the replica but my grandfather brought home the real deal, and it has never let the family down, from personal defense, to cutting trees down, and as a throwing knife. It is the least dangerous at the end of a rifle! The Japanese knew what they were doing!
