Pros: Weight, Balance, Construction, Materials
Very Good EDC Baton
This is a pocket type carry collapsible baton like the ASP P12 also carried by KnifeCenter. But this baton is special. In the closed/collasped position it measures 7 1/2 inches and does not require a hard strike on a concrete type surface to collapse it. This baton simply requires two twists. One twist, ( > ) indicators on the baton, for the first stage to collapse and again for the second stage to collapse into the closed position. The ASP Bust A Cap Tactical Glass Breaker and the ASP baton scabbard will not fit this baton. This baton is for pocket type carry situations and is lightweight and thin enough to ride along side my tactical folder in my cargo type pant pocket. You are able to fully deploy this baton should a situation deem it necessary yet quietly and discreetly collapse it and return to its carry position in your pocket without attracting too much attention. In the closed position (7 1/2 inches) the ASP Agent is a very effective Kubotan type impact tool giving plenty of striking potential on either side of a closed fist. The unique closure method gives to pleasurable practice in deploying/collapsing the baton and possibly more comfortable/less intimidating for female carry/training. Despite the larger size of the ASP Agent (7 1/2 - 16 inches and 5 - 12 inches respectively) compared to the ASP P12 this is my preferred EDC (EveryDay Carry) pocket baton when traveling farther than the local stop-n-rob and for walking the doggies. The price I feel is right for a quality, discreet, impressive and unique personal defense/impact tool. Now if ASP would make this type of closure available for the P12 then I'll the first to smack down the cash for that one too. Five stars and highly recommended!
