An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Creative and effective
Anza knives are quite unique already, but this Field Hunter has a subtle balance to it that makes it even more attractive. The blade takes a great edge like all Anzas, and it is not quite as short as the other small Anza knives. The typical Anza handle makes you choke up on the blade a bit, which is good for delicate tasks requiring a lot of control, though I find it just slightly awkward to hold. This is a great collector's piece as well as a tool!

Try An Anza - Unique Addition To Any Collection.
Purchased this particular knife for its unique pattern (plus the blade still has the clean file cross hatchings in evidence of its origin above the ground area). Thought it would be a good camp knife but it's classy looking enough to have become a regular at the cutting board for slicing salami and cheese at happy hour when entertaining friends....a real conversation piece!
