BO01BO031: Fiskmuk Stag
Boker Plus

Simply exceptional.

Jerry Fisk is an extraordinary designer and custom knifemaker, with a goal to create a permanent value, that lasts longer than the owner or even himself. His aim is to design and build a perfect knife. Since 1987, he has continuously received the top wards for his work. Now we are proud to present to you an original Fisk folding knife design, called the Fiskmuk.

The Fiskmuk was designed to provide the ultimate folding skinner for the hunter, as well as an extremely versatile general purpose knife. The premium 440C stainless steel blade has a fine satin finish and locks in the open position with a lockback. The handle has a slight elly, to fill your hand comfortably and to be used even for stronger cutting chores. This version features genuine, hand selected stag handles, perfectly fitted to the stainless steel liners and held securely in place by four rivets. Also features polished stainless steel bolsters, and an exotic blade shape that allows a variety of cutting chores. Blade length: 2 3/4". Overall length: 6 5/8". Weight: 4 oz.
The original locking mechanism. It can be found mid spine or at the bottom of the handle, and it provides tight lockup that will wear well.

quality control?
The action on this knife was terrible! There was polishing grit still in the knife and it was impossible to get a "snap" when you opened the blade as it was also riveted (loose the rivet) so tight. It took a bit of work to get things working properly. Boker should be paying more attention to the final product, not an issue with most of the other production knife companies. I have seen this with other Boker knives but then there are other models that are perfect!

Very nice
I have been playing with this knife in the kitchen for the last few weeks to test it out. With a few swipes on a steel it is razor sharp, fits in the hand very nicely, and works well as a paring / utility knife. I will have fun taking it out in the bush this summer. The stag has shrunk a bit, and there is a tiny bit of blade play - but overall it is a very nice pocketknife, and I love the "Nessmuk" blade shape.
