BO7474AB: Appaloosa Stockman
Boker Knives

4" Closed length
Stockman pattern, three blades

Tough, dependable, spirited.
This series of traditional folding knives is dedicated to the Appaloosa horse. First introduced to Mexico by the Spanish in the 1500's, the Appaloosa horse later spread across North America.
Incredible strength and stamina, these horses can be distinguished by their unique coloring in the form of irregular spots. This coloration became the inspiration for this unique genuine bone handle. The dark and light spots on the scales make each knife truly unique.
A special Boker shield is found on this knife, unique to the Appaloosa knives.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Ease of Opening, None
Great knife
Quality is excellent. All components (including bone handles) fit perfectly. Blade nail marks stand above the handle, and away from each other, so are easy to access for opening. I chose carbon steel because I wanted its edge, and was willing to oil it regularly. Springs seem a bit strong, but I expect will age well. It's definitely worth spending extra to get a Boker.

Pros: Handle Material, Blade Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Really nice knife for the price!
This knife will cost you about twice what a lower quality knife from a big box would. The carbon steel blades hold a better edge then the equivalent stainless steel slipjoint. Overall quality is very good for a "classic" pocketknife.
