Cons: Overall Quality, Construction, Material Quality, Design
I'm not one to turn up my nose at cheap knives - outside the kitchen, I use a $10 Mora for almost everything. But this knife-shaped object was a real disappointment. The handle is too small (I have average-sized hands). The blade is very thin, with no distal taper (hilt to point) at all, and on mine the grind meanders like a drunk staggering home from the bar. It's much too light and the balance is just unfortunate. The blade is curiously wide near the tip compared with the blade profile of a Wusthof or Henkels or the Victorinox kitchen knives - this, combined with the thin stock, makes it hard to use the 2-3 inches near the point for peeling or fine dicing. In a pinch grip it chops green onions satisfactorily, but lacks the weight and sturdiness to tackle root vegetables.
