Description
BU0620CMS15: 620 Reaper, Viper Snakeskin
Buck Knives

No debris will stand in your way! When out in the field, a good blade is needed to clear the pathway, provide protection and for general tasks. The Reaper is an optimal survival knife with it’s black traction coated, full tang blade and textured handles. A blade guard is built in for added protection and a better grip. Offered in a Reaper Black camo or Viper pattern, it looks intimidating enough, but makes for an effective tool.

sheath
Excellent knife.A bit on the light side but a very good and functional knife. The sheath could be of higher quality. I know it would and to the price but this is to fine a knife for the sheath it is paired with.

I like the design
I have grown tired of the recent trend toward super thick knives. Such knives don't cut or slice well, though they made good choppers and pryers. The Reaper blade is a refreshing change. It's light, fast, and very deadly. The nylon handle has good traction, unlike the KA-BAR/Becker handles, and so it could be used in a military role. The khukuri-esque angle to the blade is weird at first, but you get used to it -- and then you start to like it. The handle might be a bit short for large hands -- mine are small. Throw out the sheath and order a kydex one from a custom sheath maker, and you will have a lightweight carry blade for hiking, camping, self defense, and light-to-medium bushcraft use. This knife is a winner from Buck.
