Pros: Blade Material, Overall Quality, Handle Feel, Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
well built.. as expected from Buck
This is a really high functioning knife in that it gives you the option of three blades that are all useful. It is a work knife. No fancy handles or high maintainance finishes. This knife is slim, well constructed, and will handle years of continuous use. Anyone can tear up a knife by abusing it. Some on the web forums seem to take pride in tearing up knives and then writing poor reviews on them. I use my knives constantly, but do not abuse them. I dont take my car off roading either... Use a tool what its intended for and it will serve you well. Take care of this knife and you can hand it down to your grandchildren. Its a keeper.

Rust Spots on Brannd New Knife
I bought this blade for whittling. It was nice and sharp out of the box, I did not use it for a few days, but when I did I noticed some rust spots on the metal parts of the sheath and handle. Also the handle had some kind of black gunk in between the rivets of the synthetic. For a brand new knife this is not acceptable. I will be calling the company about a replacement.

BUCK CADET 303
I BOUGHT A BUCK 303 CADET MEDIUM STOCKMAN FROM KNIFE CENTER.COM ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO AND HAVE USED IT EVERYDAY SINCE THEN. I USED IT TO OPEN A BOX THAT I GOT IN THE MAIL FROM IRWIN TOOL COMPANY THAT MANUFACTURES VISE GRIP PLIERS I USED IT TO OPEN THE PACKAGE AND IT WAS STILL RAZOR SHARP AFTERWARDS. I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO SHARPEN IT DUE TO CONSTANT EVERY DAY USE. ALL I USE IS A COMBONATION SHARPENING STONE THAT IS ROUGH ON ONE SIDE AND FINE ON THE OTHER SIDE AND IT GOT IT SHARPER THAN WHAT THE FACTORY EDGE WAS. I REALLY LIKE THIS KNIFE I HAVE EVEN OPENED BAGS OF DOG FOOD TO FEED MY DOGS AND USE IT EVERYDAY TO OPEN MY MAIL IT'S VERY HANDY FOR THAT AND STILL STAYS SHARP AFTER OPENING ENVOLPES. I BOUGHT THIS TO KEEP FROM CARRING MY GRANDPA'S CASE MEDIUM STOCKMAN CAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE IT BEING HE PASSED AWAY THIS YEAR IT JUST MEANS ALOT TO ME TO KEEP IT PUT UP BEING IT WAS HIS EVERYDAY CARRY KNIFE EVER SINCE I WAS GROWING UP HE CONSTANLY CARRIED IT ALL THE TIME. BUCK KNIVES ARE MY EVERYDAY CARRY AND IS THE ONLY BRAND THAT I CARRY WALKING THE WOODS. I ALSO USE MY BUCK FIXED BLADES WHEN SQUIRRL HUNTING ALL THE TIME OR WHEN DEER HUNTING EVEN HAVE CARRIED THEM WHILE COYOTE HUNTING IN THE WINTER. MY BUCK KNIVES ALL HAVE THE 420 HC STEEL. I EVEN STILL HAVE MY 309 COMPANION THAT IS A 1999 MODEL YEAR THAT I GOT IN 2000 FOR A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION GIFT I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL BOX AND PAPERS TO IT AS WELL I CARRIED IT FROM 2000 TILL I ORDERED MY BUCK 303 CADET A FEW WEEKS AGO NOW IT JUST STAY'S IN IT'S ORIGINAL BOX IT WILL JUST GET CARRIED ONCE IN A WHILE BUT NOT MUCH BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO LOSE IT AT ALL BEING A VERY GOOD FRIEND BOUGHT IT FOR ME BACK IN 2000.
