Thank you for prompt service. It was quick! I take photography field trips. And the knife is perfect to carry. It's light, water proof, and I like the light weight sheath! Great for camp.

This is a fine piece of equipment at a very good price. Buck doesn't tend to use fancy steels, but right out of the box the Diamondback was shaving sharp. The molded handle is similar to Kraton rubber and nicely textured. This is a great boat utility knife. I live on a saltwater bay and have used this knife to cut line and gut fish and open oysters. I trust Buck knives, they really value their customer base. I don't like the cordura sheath with the plastic insert, but it works just fine and has a snap collar that goes around the handle. The whole package is feather-light and I've even carried it in cargo shorts. It's a very nice small fixed blade for every day use. I'd also feel comfortable using it in a defensive capacity if such a situation arose. A great value.

I use one of these as my regular hunting knife. Razor sharp, resharpens very easily, excellent shape for gutting deer. Just the right size to be useful and controllable. Cheap enough that I won't cry if I lose it. Grips are non-slip even when covered in blood.

Sharp and holds an edge like a Buck should, but overall quality is poor. The sheath is lousy. A little hard use and that rubber handle will start to separate and slide right off. But for the price you are getting what you pay for.
