Outdoor Life - Essential Tools For Your Outdoor Life

Our roots are in the outdoors and this is where they remain. A few years ago we returned to our roots when we moved our headquarters to Post Falls, Idaho – right in the heart of some of the finest outdoor activities in the country – hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. These products were inspired by the outdoor life that we all love and enjoy.

Hunting - The First Buck

Improving hunting performance. Hunting is where it all started over a hundred years ago and this is still the main focus for Buck. We are constantly making refinements that improve the performance of our knives and crafting new designs that allow hunters to improve performance of field dressing and skinning.

Compact, lightweight and durable. This hunting knife was designed with full tang construction and Alcryn® MPR rubber handles for superior performance in demanding end-use environments. The additional large integrated finger grooves and grip areas provide safety of use.

Pros: Finish, Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Blade Material
very useful hunting knife
I own this cool knife now for about two years and it is always very good for cutting and skinning. The handle has an excellent grip and it doesn't cool your fingers in cold weather. I am not satisfied about the blade. When I sharpen it it gets a good edge but the material is too brittle and little parts break off the edge. If you don't mind that it's good to have!

I CARRY THIS KNIFE FROM SEPTEMBER TILL THE END OF JANUARY I USE IT FOR GOING OUT AND WALKING THE WOODS AND EVEN CARRY IT EVERYTIME I GO IN THE WOODS TO SQUIRRL HUNT IT SHARPEN'S OUT VERY WELL. I HAVE OWNED THIS SINCE DECEMBER 2010 GOT IT AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT THAT YEAR. I ALWAYS CARRY IT DEER HUNTING AS WELL. IT'S A GREAT LITTLE KNIFE TO USE ON SQUIRRL AND DEER. I ALSO OWN THE BUCK 679 GUT HOOK AS WELL.
