Pros: Handle Material, Blade Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness
Outstanding big stockman!
There are few reviews on the web about this knife, so my intention is to contribute with those who want to know more about American Workman Large Stockman before place the order. This is a truly "manly" knife! It is a knife made to work and not to be stand in a collector's box. The blades finish is not mirror polished, but "as ground" finished. That means the Surgical Steel blades are assembled in the knife just after leave the grinder. The look is that the blade simply does not have any polish, just like those old knives of our grandpas. The sintetic handles gives to the knife a worker character: a worker that leave aside expensive embelishements to prior the quality. This knife is so sharp! Even more other Cases I have. My main blade is the sheepfoot blade to cut leather to make craft wallets. The clip blade I use to open letters and go slice the apple I eat each morning. The Spey Blade I rarely use, but is perfect to delicated cuts, like sharpen pencils or cut tags. Like all other Stockman pattern from Case, the spey blade touch the sheepfoot blade, but in the American Workman the sheepfoot "locks" the spey blade in place. I need to open sheepfoot to get the spey blade opened. This is a 100% good knife. If you like large stockman, don't think twice! It is the best one you can have!
