Great concept, liner lock leaves much to be desired
Great concept, but … Case liner lock leaves much to be desired. The liner moves all the way to the right and never really engages the blade. It’s just hanging there loosely. So there is vertical blade play, and the lock is really easy to disengage accidentally. There’s also the slipjoint style lock bar, but it is very weak, unlike on pure slipjoint folders. The liner lock was supposed to replace the traditional locking, but it never really did. I am telling myself this again, with Case, stick to lockbacks and slipjoints, the traditional lock designs!Other than that I like the knife. The blade and handle shape is great, the Bermuda green bone is beautiful and flawless. It's a nice choice for a "dress knife" around St.Patrick's day or Christmas. It would make a great EDC if only I could trust the liner lock. I am being generous giving this knife 3 stars out of 5.
