Description
CR6451S: 6451S Large Drifter
CRKT

What makes a good logo knife? It should be affordable, and it should have some large flat areas on the blade or frame suitable for logo imprinting. So we are very happy to present the Drifter series. They're high-quality knives that are priced low enough to purchase in quantity, and all have flat areas that are perfect for our "Company Billboard" imprinting by laser or silk screen. Or you can take any one to your local trophy house for personalized engraving.

The Drifter Stainless is a stainless steel frame-lock folder with a Razor-Sharp edge. The flat titanium nitride-coated frames are ideally suited for imprinting. It also features a 2.875" 8Cr14MoV stainless steel blade with a Razor-Sharp edge and a brushed finish. A stainless steel clip is included.

Pros: Lock Type, Pocket Clip, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, None
Great knife, but one thing....
I sent for this since somebody stole my small Drifter in a federal courthouse. Was really looking forward to the larger blade....loved everything about the small Drifter and a larger version would be perfect. When it arrived it looks beautiful and definitely sharp...but when I was playing with the action opening and closing the knife I found one very critical important difference from the smaller drifter...the frame lock does not have the jimping (thumb grooves) and flattened area that you use to close the knife. It has only the same shape as the rest of the frame edges...mostly sharp, making it VERY tough on the finger (usually thumb) that closes it... after a few times closing it my thumb became sore. I sent the knife back since this was not going to work for me (and I have tough construction hands). Everything else is great about the knife, but for the life of me I don't understand why they changed a proven design like the smaller drifter.

Good knife
I recently purchased CRKT 6451S large Drifter. This is a well make knife. Knife was sharp out of the box but was not as large as I hoped it would be. The blade has a slight recurve which I don't care for, also not real crazy about dual thumb studs. Great EDC knife , very thin in pocket, but probably wouldn't be very comfortable for extended use.
