Chris Reeve Knives
The folding knife that has become the yardstick against which others are compared, the Sebenza has earned a worldwide reputation for rock solid performance and a "bank vault" feel. Chris developed the first Sebenza in 1987 and the profile has experienced minor changes over the years. After the entirely handmade version, came the Original profile in 1990, the Regular in 1996 and the Classic in 2000. 2008 was the 21st year of the Sebenza and to celebrate, CRK introduced the Sebenza 21—an updated version of the classic, that is easier to insert into a pocket or pouch. Whether plain with a tumbled or "stonewashed" S35VN blade and sand blasted handles, or embellished with a polished or damascus blade, wood inlay or lavish graphics, each Sebenza is individually fitted to the closest tolerances.
Chris developed his unique style of embellishing Sebenza handles early in the 1990's and now these graphics have become a trade mark of Chris Reeve Knives. The graphics are machined into the handles and are enhanced with either color or texture contrast. Colors are achieved by anodizing, a process that involves passing an electrical current through the titanium handle, causing a layer of oxide to form on the surface. The desired color is achieved by selecting a specific voltage and the color is simply reflected light, the spectrum splintered. When the coloring is complete, the handle is hand polished to a satin finish. Silver Contrast designs use a satin finish paired against the matte finish of sandblasting.
Computer Generated Graphics (CGGs):
These designs are repeatable and may be ordered by name. CAD/CAM (computer aided drawing/computer aided machining) allows the creation of a graphic, and transfer of the design into a program that can be machined on a CNC milling machine. The colors of the thumb lugs and back spacers are matched to the respective designs and will not be varied.

Semi-Custom or Mid-Tech knives are knives produced by a process in which the designer has more direct--but not complete--involvement; parts of these knives may still have been made by others.
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
A tougher steel than S30V, it retains the excellent corrosive properties and ability to take an edge, but improves on the ability to hold that edge.
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
This product is USA born and raised.
