CRM1613T: Carson M16-13T Folder
Kit Carson, designer of the M16® Series, became famous for his titanium frame M16 customs. True to Kit's custom design in all details, the production M16T models have been taken a step further with the addition of our exclusive patented* AutoLAWKS™ safety, which automatically turns the folders into virtual fixed blades when the blade is opened and locked.

The handles, which form the open-build frame, are CNC machined from titanium. The result is a better strength-to-weight ratio than steel or aluminum, and an almost indestructible frame. The titanium frame is minimally ceramic bead-blast finished to enhance grip. The single 420J2 stainless steel locking liner with friction grooves provides positive locking.

The blade is AUS 8 stainless steel, chosen for edge retention and durability, in non-reflective fine bead blast finish, with a Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edge. This steel can handle the most rugged cutting tasks and still be field sharpened.

Of course, this model features the signature "Carson Flipper" extension to the blade, which aids opening and acts as an additional blade guard.

The slim profile M16®-13T has a spear point blade, a very popular slender shape that is ideal for a variety of carry positions.

Faithful replicas. Premium quality. Precise. Smooth. Amazing value for those who want the ultimate M16. Kit Carson still marvels at how well our production titaniums compare to his customs.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material
Cons: None
Small and quick EDC.
Fantastic knife, I bought it together with the large, tanto version: Together, these two knives are, in my humble opinion, probably the two best knives of the whole range of CRKT models designe by Kit Carson, mainly due to them having all the great characteristics of the other models... and titanium handles. The titanium does make them a little heavier but on this particular model, it is hardly noticeable. You get instead all the durability and solidity of titanium. I love this series, they make great EDC knives. Recommend to everyone.

Nice BUT
Workmanship and quality is OK. The one annoyance for me the pocket clip is on the wrong side. When removing from your pocket it has to be turned end for end to open.... Should be like SOG twitch which can be opened in one motion while removing from your pocket....

Fantastic Knife
I've had this knife for years. Currently its my primary EDC. I lost it in a kayak about 2 years ago and one day over this past summer i took the kayak out and i moved in the seat just right and the thing fell out of the plastic it was wedged behind. It was rusty and covered in goo. I cleaned it with some 3 in 1 tool oil which cleaned off all of the rust and the knife looks like it is brand new again. The one complaint i have about CRKT knives these days is the AUTOLAWKS feature. I liked the old non spring loaded locking mechanism better (which mine has, luckily!) With that said, this is a solid knife that holds an edge and i'm a proud owner.
