CS10AMC: Counter Point II
Cold Steel

Our Counter Point folders offer almost all the same benefits as our Counter TAC boot knife series but in a smaller, lighter, and more easily concealed package. The blades are in a classic boot knife shape with long false edges and needle sharp points to guarantee the ultimate in penetration.

The handles of our Counter Points are also reminiscent of our Counter TAC's. They¹re injection molded from Grivory and have steel liners to enhance their strength and rigidity. They offer an unusually secure grip for their diminutive size. They're carefully sculptured and contoured with strategically placed holes to reduce weight, and they sport a unique thumb rest built into the butt, affording excellent purchase and a wide variety of grip options.

While no folding knife can ever hope to compete with a fixed blade boot knife in overall strength, our Counter Point folders come much closer than any competitor in their size range due to the revolutionary Tri-Ad® lock. Designed to withstand horrendous stress and strain, it shrugs off impact from any angle without fail and offers a huge margin of safety for your precious fingers.

To enable your Counter Point to be swiftly drawn and ready for action we have equipped them with fully ambidextrous pocket clips and thumb studs. Clipped to a boot top, pocket or waistband, the Counter Points are just about invisible and so light they truly can be carried 24-7.

Weird but fantastic EDC blade
I was initially turned off by the profile of this knife, it's just a bit odd. However once it was in my hand..I really liked it. Came nasty sharp, in Cold Steel fashion. Their Tri Ad lock is basically a reinforced, smartly designed new take on the classic lock back. I really like the lock, some people may have trouble with the spring pressure that makes the blade have a natural inclination toward closing. 1 hand opening can be quick if you don't hesitate & give the wrist a flick while you open it. Thumbstuds on both sides are effective & the grip seems to actually get better when hands are moist or sweaty. Reverse grip (defensively thinking) is comfortable with a little indent for your thumb to cap the butt of the knife. Very good overall, rides LIGHT & unobtrusively. Great value, & high polished AUS8 is traditionally, very rust & stain resistant.

Good for small hands.
The knife is just a tad small.I can get a good grip on it-but barely.Reminds me of a Benchmade Mini Gritilian in the size of the grip except it is thicker which makes it slightly harder to reach the thumbstuds because vthey are close to the grip.Another 1/4 of an inch in length and slightly more recessed thumb stud area and it would feel so much better.Had to loosen the pivot screw and it was still hard to open due to the strong lock spring.I dremeled my thumb stud at an angle and relieved the grip area by the studs slightly to give my thumb better placement and make it easier to open and smoother on my thumb when I play with it.Greatly improved.Hurts my thumb to close several times in a row (strong lock spring),fine for self defense but playing with it is not very fun.Locks up tight, all Triad Locks are rock solid that I have held so far.Shaving sharp with nice grinds and finish.Counter Point 1 (bigger) should be awesome.Very light and solid ! The pocket clip is crazy tight so I removed it and it now has an even better grip.Grivory feels good, slightly pebbled texture,a little on the smooth side.. Im giving it to my daughter for a car knife/self defense weapon. I will buy the bigger version later.
