CS39LLBT: 39LLBT Laredo Bowie
Cold Steel
Awesome is the only adjective that even begins to describe this Laredo Bowie. It features a long, heavy blade made from high carbon steel, which is flat ground to produce incredible cutting power and perfect balance. And, as an added bonus, it is given an absolutely ferocious cutting edge that terminates in a dagger sharp point. To further enhance its versatility and efficiency as a weapon, it sports a four and a half inch long semi-sharpened clip point that helps facilitate the deadly back cut, as well as a wide variety of more conventional cuts and stabbing attacks. The faux cocobolo handle is as tough as it is beautiful. It is specially contoured to fit the hand like a glove and to provide a positive grip when cutting, chopping or thrusting.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Blade Material, Materials, Weight, Overall Quality, Finish
Cons: None
Razor sharp. excellant point. Handle especially well suited to my medium sized hands; though it is made of smooth wood, the shape naturally conforms to the hand so well that I do not think slipping off it will is likely at all. Balance seems to be a perfect 50 - 50 ratio between blade and handle. This knife is not meant to be a miniature axe nor a kuhkri - type chopper; it is all knife as we usually conceive of "knife." What pleased me most was the sharpened clip, so strangely lacking on my Natchez bowie, which is also touted as a fighting bowie. By the way, I do not plan to use it as a wedge by hammering on the butt of the handle. Also, it comes with a polypropylene sheath. Thank you, CS. Leather is pretty, but that's about IT. For those living in 1840, leather should be by special order only.

Best bowie for the price!
The knife itself is perfect! but there are some downsides like the fact that the factory sheath left scratches on the blade from only a week of use, also the handle came chipped very small. but over all very impressed with the knife! do suggest getting a custom sheath for this knife just to avoid the scratching isssue!

Cons: Handle Material, None
Awesome blade, handle a bit slippery and short for XL hands
The blade spine is 0.3" next to the quillon, slowly tapering to 0.25" where the clip starts. Clip is sharpened out of box, and main edge razor sharp, as expected in a CS knife. Cut through 30 plastic bottles and still shaves paper. Blade is a 5 stars in my opinion. Total size of handle is just under 5" (4 15/16), but, because of the tapering at the butt, it feels more like 4 3/4. This is a bit of a problem for my big hands in the saber grip. Becomes slippery when wet; slid out of my hand while cutting those water bottles. Some wrapping is necessary for safety.
