CS49FPS: Pro Guard
Cold Steel

We think our Pro Guard offers several features that are sure to appeal to any neck knife aficionado.

Inspired by a Fred Perrin custom knife, it's thin, flat, light as a feather, and comes complete with a terrific Secure- Ex sheath.

Without a doubt, what really sets it apart from the competition is the big advantage it offers in overall length, and its blade to handle ratio. These advantages are made possible because the Pro Guard's fiendishly sharp, slant point blade includes an integral finger hole, which in turn makes possible the use of an abbreviated pistol grip handle. It's fitted with G-10 scales and skeletonized to save weight, making it a natural in the forward-reverse grip. And, thanks to the integral finger hole, there's no possibility of the hand moving forward onto the blade on impact or losing control of it due to the effects of centrifugal force.

Thin, light, and extremely durable. A very high quality knife as all Cold Steel products are.

Not what i had hoped for
When I pulled this knife out of the packaging the emotion I felt was simply disappointment. The knife itself is a good blade. The serrations are nice and sharp as is the non serrated edge. The handle is a little small for my liking but seems to fit in the hand okay. The entire knife itself does not conceal well as a neck knife and would do okay as a knife to carry on the belt but there is no clip for that. The one thing about this knife that is bad in general is the sheath. It is way to difficult to put the knife back into the sheath and is also somewhat difficult to pull out. I was also going to use a mercharness system to carry this knife but to my dismay I found that the holes in the sheath were too small. If the sheath is no good, what good is the knife itself?
