Description
EMCQC14BTS: CQC-14 Snubby
Emerson Knives

This is the legal, carry knife, you've been waiting for. Thanks to the request from my friend Harry, we now make a knife you can legally carry (in most areas) yet still pack a heavyweight punch. The blade is under 3 inches long - way under 3 inches. Yes, it has a full size handle, so you know you've got a real knife in your hand. This is the ultimate pocket protector.

The CQC-14 features our Patented "wave shaped opening feature" or Remote Pocket Opener. In an emergency or injury situation the knife can be opened with one hand as it is drawn from the pocket.

Cons: None
CQC-14 Snubby
This is my 2nd Emerson I've owned and it is the same excellent quality one would expect from Emerson. I look for quality knives that have function, dependability, durability, and usefulness. I use knives for utility work, camping and for self defense. I have used knives in military, law eforcement, emergency medical situations, and 2 situations of self defense. An Emerson lock holds and does not loosen with heavy use, the blade remains sharp and is easy to sharpen ( following their recommendation), and the G-10 grips will not slip with oils, soaps, blood, or grease. The Wave function makes the knife a one hand and no fingers open, provides an extended thumb rest, making an instant deployment by pulling it out of the pocket. The only possible negative I could say in the lock is a little stiffer than I like. The more knowledgable you are about knives and the purposes you want to use it for, Emerson must be a top contender. I will not buy any other brand for my personal knife use.

Really sturdy knife. was surprised how wide the blade height was. Basically a longer blade shorten down to below 3 inches. Great texture on handle making for a good non slip grip, especially since it's full size. And very light for it's size. The only one complaint was that the lock was made way too tight. the blade would lock so tight that I'd have to use a screw driver or coin to pry it into the unlock position. But a little careful polishing with a Dremel fixed it.
