FT11867: Heavy Duty Orange Companion
The Companion Heavy Duty is a powerful tool for bushcrafters, hunters and outdoor people. For batoning the knife needs great strength requirements. Then Companion Heavy Duty is to recommend with its three-layer injection molding and the little blunter edge angle 27° for maximum sharpness resistance (default is otherwise 23°). Even Bushcraft Black and Orange have the thicker (3.2 mm) blade with 27° edge angle. These knives will not let you down!
The knife has an extra large ergonomic handle with a soft high friction grip. The knife has a blade of 3.2 mm thick carbon steel with high load capacity. The classic scandi grind combined with high quality carbon steel makes the knife easy to resharpen. Orange plastic sheath with a belt clip.
Carbon Steel Blade:
  • Knife blades of high carbon steel can be hardened to HRC 59-60 giving best possible sharpness to lowest price. Knives made from above mentioned steel grades will after some use achieve a dullish grey finish. However, this will not negatively affect the quality of the blade. On the contrary it will somewhat improve the resistance to corrosion.
  • Blade Length: 4.1" (104 mm)
  • Blade Steel: High Carbon Steel, 59-60HRC
  • Blade Thickness: 3.2 mm
  • Overall Length: 8.8" (224 mm)
  • Handle Material: Rubber
  • Weight: 4.8 oz. (135 g)
  • Made in Sweden

Worth the money and then some!!!!!
I purchased this knife not having any former knowledge of the quality of their products, but for the money if I didn't like it it would become someone's Christmas present. But after seeing, and checking it out closely I am very impressed with it. All my friends that have seen and had it in their hands are wanting one also. It is a quality knife, and very sharp right out of the box. Weight is good, and the handle is both large enough for my big hands and very comfortable to grip and work with. After seeing the quality of this blade I will be looking at more of their knives in the future, and you should too........

Mora Heavy Duty Companion
This is my first (but probably not last) knife with a Scandi grind. The apparent quality is unbelievable at this price point, and discounted, no less! It was very sharp on arrival, but 2 passes on a Sharp Maker lead to Scary Sharp! I have tried it for food prep, making kindling and whittling - this is a very versatile and tough knife. I now keep it in my car. It is easy to put a micro-bevel on the tool steel, but I think I might use this knife to learn to sharpen on the original bevel.

I bought two of these for my son as a deer knife and one for me as a bait knife. Having owned other Mora blades I knew the quality was very good for the money.
