Description
HTMMFDRGHBHAOM390S: Limited Edition M390 Gunhammer
HTM Knives

**As pictured except with combo blade.

The HTM Gun Hammer knives are USA Made tactical folders with true custom style that pack plenty of form and especially function. Designed by Darrel Ralph, the HTM Gun Hammer mid tech knife is available in a traditional style blade with a slight re-curve which draws inspiration from a classic Bowie knife blade shape. It's an excellent EDC choice ready for self-defense, law enforcement officers, police & military tactical applications, in addition to being an outstanding knife for general utility & every day carry. The knife locks open with a .09" thick titanium lock bar, and is offered with the choice between manual flipper opening and the lightning fast SAO spring assisted open mechanism (faster than most switchblades without the legal hassles).

The Gunhammers are available in either a handsome non-glare finish, or the equally good-looking DLC coating which further armors the blade against extreme wear and scuffs. This is a special limited edition knife featuring Bohler M390 super steel, while the handles are aircraft aluminum protected by a durable Military "Type III" hard coating. The handles on all models are outfitted with 3D Machined ETAC grip pattern which gives you an absolute grip under even the most challenging conditions. No matter what your preferred blade style, coating and opening preference may be (Manual Flipper, or the DDR - SAO - spring assisted opener) you're certain to find the Darrel Ralph designed HTM Gun Hammer tactical folding knives are a perfect fit.

Pros: Blade Material, Ease of Opening, None
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality
Not sharp out of the box. Very dull actually.Uneven blade grind. Blade off center.Pivot screw was very loose, had to add locktight to the picot screw. Spring assist is not very strong. Not the quality you would expect for a limited edition.

Pros: Lock Type, Blade Material, None
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel
Big Disappointment
Well I pre purchased this knife and had to wait about 2 months for HTM to get them to The Knife Center.. I had high hopes thinking that the wait time was all the fine tuning. WRONG. The knife looks great but the functioning was terrible. The assisted opening was very sluggish, compared to a similar Zero Tolerance knife which I have and is lightening fast. The blade lock took two hands to get it to disengage. The steel on aluminum seemed to be an issue, the steel bites into the aluminum too severely. I returned this knife the day after receiving it.
