Pros: Blade Sharpness, Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Blade Material, Materials, Weight, Overall Quality, Finish
A fantastic piece of work
I first saw this knife (in any finish) advertised on the main Knife Center page and thought, "wow that's amazing, but something I'd never buy". Months later my knife collecting got the better of me and I ended up going back and forth between this and the other two finishes. I decided with this because let's face it the finish is just unique, it stands out and it's a collectors item IMO. After reading reviews and watching videos I finally got my hands on my Coroner, which also was my first Brous blade and right out of the box I was stunned by every aspect of it. The machine cut handles just feel amazingly natural in your hand. Weight is perfect, blade sharpness is stunning (hair shaving) and it's a THICK chunk of steel. I was also extremely eager to see the unique saw back (I read once somewhere Jason calls it the "chainsaw" design, not sure though) and upon running my fingers over it I was hesitant to judge which side would do more in an attack, the blade or saw! It's an extremely well made knife, no matter the finish. I'm not the biggest "zombie" guy, but the toxic green and unique blood splatter is a head turner, and it looks amazing hanging from my wall considering it sticks out in a sea of black and satin finish knives. There are only a limited number of these bad boys made, so I'd pick one up. Sure the price is a bit steep, but you won't be parting with this knife any time soon!
