Review 1: 5   Headline: Great Knife
Pros: Weight , Blade Material , Finish

I like the weight of the knife. I use it mostly for hiking and camping and it does everything I need it do. I haven't pushed it to the limits, but so far this knife has not let me down.

Review 2: 5   Headline: Fantastic Combat Knife Potential
Pros: Blade Sharpness , Sheath/Scabbard , Handle Material , Blade Material , Materials , Weight , Overall Quality , Finish

I just bought this for my son who is a Marine heading off to Afghanistan Feb 2010. I studied combat knives long and hard and chose this one because of the design (Bob Dozier knows what he's doing). The knife is just well made with a good handle and very secure sheath. It is handsome, rugged, well balanced and less than $80. You can't go wrong sending this tool with your kid if they're going into harms way.

Outstanding feel, like sitting in fine sprots car that just makes you want to BLAST. Build, design, sheath, materials and shrapness are are a breathtaking package. For people that ware a XL glove size or better they have found a secure home. The picture don't do this knife justice, you have to pick it up to feel the rush of confidence from something that feels like a natural part of your body. The sheath holds the knife very well even without the strap it also invites the use of MOLE or TEC lock systems by simply unbolting the nylon belt strap. The handle slabs are also removeable with (not 2 not 3) but 14 size 10 TORX screws; this thing is built like a locomtive and engineered to stay that way. I have fixed blades that cost 5 times this amout and are not 1/2 as well thought out.

Knife 402 grams, scababrd 128, total 530 grams / overall 308 mm, blade 163, cutting edge 162, false edge 120 / balance point approx. 125 mm from butt (grip-heavy) Good grip, forefinger notch effectively a subhilt, kraton inserts, feels slightly thin for the weight. Major defect: plastic scabbard holds knife MUCH too tightly, initially requiring about a 25 kg tug to remove it. This loosens a bit with use, but recovers; the longer the knife is left in the scabbard, the harder it is to withdraw.
