Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.

Zytel Handles
A nylon polymer that is lightweight and extremely durable, Zytel can be shaped and textured to provide excellent grip.

LIKe everyone says it gets loose at handle. As soon as I took it out the box and saw it said Taiwan, I was upset and knew it would be trouble.

Loose Blade !
After apx 5 minutes chopping into a very soft, fresh cut tree limb the blade became loose at the point of where it enters the handle. Is this a manufacturing flaw? VERY disappointed with KaBar on this one. It has put me off buying further KaBar models.
