Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Lock Ease of Use, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Overall Quality
Strong and spartan tool
This folder clearly lacks the refinement of more expensive knives, but seems to have everything where it counts to make it a very sturdy and effective cutting tool. The long bar on the lock back holds the blade VERY firmly in place. The blade spine is quite thick, but the hollow grind takes it down to a thin and penetrating edge that can slice through a wide variety of materials such as cardboard, rope, carpet, and plastic, with great ease. It's not particularly pretty, but it is unusually effective for a knife of this price. If you are looking for a simple practical tool that can handle a wide variety of cutting tasks, this is a bargain.

Blown Away
EDC...everything from work beater...(thick cardboard, thick zipptyes, thick nylon straps, thick whatever), to yard work...(pruning), to food and BBQ prep. Razor sharp, easy to get razor sharp, big thick blade, bigger handle for x-large hands or with gloves, super light wieght, locks like a fixed blade, tip up carry..L/R. Looks kind of cheap, but who cares..this knife ROCKS! Does not flip open, but thats cool..old school lockback style. I'll be buying more for gifts and for vehicles, garage, bug-out bag, tackle box, camping box, etc. CAN'T BEAT Price for what you are getting.

One sweet knife
I love collecting knives. As i cant afford the super expensive blades, my mission is to find the best value quality knife for the least cost. This Ka-bar large Dozier truly fits the bill. The blade is fairly good steel and it is razor sharp out of the box. There is plenty of handle with adequate texturing to give good purchase on the knife. It opens easily with the thumb hole. The only real con i have for the knife is the pocket clip is super tight. It takes 2 hands to clip it tot he pocket.. I havent tried to losen it yet..At any rate, you cant go wrong with this knife.
