Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Great gift to a deserving Marine
As a gift - VG It's the real thing. Not a cheap made in China knockoff. The leather sheath is sub-par.....and the butt cap has a grind mark. The first time the knife was placed intothe sheath, the guard at the base of the handle, scratched the hard flat sheath.
