USA made all around winner for general utility.
This is awesome, Kershaw's American made smaller companion to the also US made "Field knife". This one's much more concealable, been carrying it in the zipper pocket of a fleece jacket, not really much bulk except for the leather sheath's belt loop. I am OK with the simple pouch-style sheath, it fits tight & works well, the leather quality is basic, but far better than the leather used by competitors like SOG & Cold Steel on knives 5x this price. Some people would prefer a kydex rig, but you could always have one made. Kershaw has really stepped up their game in the past 5 years regardless of where the blade is made, even their foreign stuff beats many others in fit & finish, this US piece is no exception, RIDICULOUSLY sharp, straight out of the box, & the edge keeps holding, I bought mine locally about a month ago, & have yet to even touch up the blade on a fine ceramic rod, even after weeks of breaking down recycling & other mundane chores. Really great grip for a little fixed blade, the G10 is rough enough for a wet handed grip, but gentle enough where it won't tear up your palm under protracted use. Nice full belly for those guys who hunt & will use it as its "skinner" name implies. great value, & bravo to Kershaw for continuing to improve their quality again, on foreign knives, & 100% USA made ones like this, the 14c28n steel is, i think, a Sandvik/Kershaw exclusive, & cuts & holds with the best of them, I like this steel better than 154cm...great knife.
