KS1660: 1660 Leek
Kershaw Knives

The Kershaw Leek just may be the ideal EDC. With its 3-inch blade, the Leek is a good-sized knife, but not too big. The slim design makes it easy to carry and its razor-sharp blade of high-performance Sandvik 14C28N means it can take care of a full range of cutting tasks.

The blade is a modified drop-point, so it’s a good slicing knife, while the slim tip gives it piercing capability and the ability to do detailed work. For a partially serrated blade, choose the 1660ST Leek. Like other “Onion” knives, the Leek features the SpeedSafe ambidextrous assisted opening system.

Whether you’re left-handed or right-handed, just pull back on the blade protrusion or push outward on the thumbstud and the Leek’s blade is ready to go to work. In addition to its 14C28N blade, this Leek features a handle of pure stainless steel that gives it a clean, sleek look. For confident blade use, a super-secure frame lock keeps the blade locked during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks the blade closed when folded. The pocketclip can be configured for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material
Cons: None
My all-time favorite of any knife I have. I have the Kershaw shallot, the Kershaw amplitude 3.25, the Kershaw skyline, The Kershaw fatback , and Kershaw scallion. But I have zero complaints about any of them, each just as sharp as you would expect from Kershaw straight out of the box. It has a Great balance of weight to size ratio it really feels like a bigger knife then it is in your hand. It just feels exactly how you wanted to feel from a pocket knife and with the blastoff opening up the speed safe assist you can't go wrong for one handed operations!! This will be the knife I will always go to over any other and will be purchasing time and time again as the need arises. Truly recommend to anybody who is a fan of a pocket knife and appreciates good quality! Spot on Kershaw keep it going! Ken Onion is the best

Nice but slippery!
My wife got me this one as a gift, it's my first Kershaw and although I'm more of a traditional folder guy, this is really, really slick. Maybe a little too slick, as the all-metal design gets really slippery even with a little sweat or water. You don't want to mess with this if your hands are wet, so maybe not a good choice for fishing or around water. The build quality on mine is superb, everything works with precision and the quick-flick opening is unreal, faster and more secure than a couple of autos I have. The metal has a silky feel, must be the final treatment they gave it but again, that makes it slippery to hold sometimes. Blade is sharp but it's very thin, so the edge seems like it will dull quickly, we'll see. The grind they put on it from the factory is pretty rough, all things considered, so needs some final honing work. It's also a bit heavy in the pocket at 86 grams. Overall though, very nicely made and what do you know -- they actually still make stuff in the U.S.A.!

Great pocket knife-scary sharp!
I never use clips and I was going to remove it but it helps you to grip the knife to open it. It gets easier to flip open with use.
