Description
KS1660: 1660 Leek
Kershaw Knives

THERE ARE LOTS OF REASONS WHY THE LEEK IS SO POPULAR

The Kershaw Leek just may be the ideal EDC. With its 3-inch blade, the Leek is a good-sized knife, but not too big. The slim design makes it easy to carry and its razor-sharp blade of high-performance Sandvik 14C28N means it can take care of a full range of cutting tasks.

The blade is a modified drop-point, so it’s a good slicing knife, while the slim tip gives it piercing capability and the ability to do detailed work. For a partially serrated blade, choose the 1660ST Leek. Like other “Onion” knives, the Leek features the SpeedSafe ambidextrous assisted opening system.

Whether you’re left-handed or right-handed, just pull back on the blade protrusion or push outward on the thumbstud and the Leek’s blade is ready to go to work. In addition to its 14C28N blade, this Leek features a handle of pure stainless steel that gives it a clean, sleek look. For confident blade use, a super-secure frame lock keeps the blade locked during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks the blade closed when folded. The pocketclip can be configured for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard.

Kershaw 1660 Leek
This little knife is almost indesctructible . A few years ago I was fortunate enough to have been gifted a Kershaw Leek by my Uncle Mike Los Banos . I carried it almost for a year as a secondary back up knife . One day I had loaned my primary EDC to a coworker , left alone with my Leek I proceeded to cut open some heavy boxes . Thinking that it was an "el cheapo" knife I went to town cutting boxes popping staples out of heavy cartons . The Leek exceeded all of my expectations ! It never got dull to the point of tearing cardboard ! Just a few short strokes on a Spyderco Sharpmaker it popped back with a screaming sharp edge . I even used it as an icepick a few times without any breakage . The blade locking mechanism took a while to get used to , it's great not having a knife not opening in your pocket . I had recently picked up a lot of these at a fantastic price and gifted a few family and close close friends with them . All of them were instant favorites among the other EDC knives that people often carried . Uncle Mike was and is still very pleased that I had "paid it forward" with these awesome little blades .

Nice knife
Very sharp, light, quick opening. Only wish the clip held a bit tighter. Nice quality.

Kershaw Leek is a Perfect EDC
This knife replaces a CRKT pocket knife I recently lost. Fit and finish on the Leek is amazing and the blade comes razor-sharp. The assisted opening makes one-handed deployment a breeze and is plenty fast. Although the handle is not textured, grip has been more than adequate for the light to moderate duty my knife is subjected to. I recommend this knife, without reservation.
