Pros: Pocket Clip, Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Handle Material, Weight, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Cons: Sheath, None
great knife, excellent quality
This was my first Microtech and my first OTF but I'd like to think that this is the perfect OTF. The styling is cool, dagger is the way to go since this is more of a show knife for me anyway. The two tone blade grind is unique and the blacked out hardware, handle and carry clip makes it feel tactical. Ergonomics are great; the handle fits the hand well and the opposing cuts in the handle and jimping throughout helps keep it locked in. Deployment is fast and lockup is solid but nothing like an "out the side". The pocket clip is deep carry with really only the glass breaker protruding from your pocket. The pocket clip is extremely tight similar to other aluminum handle knives. The blade tip in its retracted position is flush with the outside of the handle; if you rubbed your finger across it and into the blade deployment opening, you'd probably cut yourself. This knife was supposed to come with a nylon sheath but didn't. Talked to Microtech and about a year ago they decided to no longer include sheaths to protect their awesome (and expensive) knifes. Mine came in CPM-D2. Great steel and great knife. If you're thinking about it and have the cash, then get it as they don't last long.
