survivor at heart
I bought this knife for my son as an addition to his go bag/survival gear. if i'm going to give something to my kids that their life may depend on I need to have complete confidence in the product. we live in northern Canada, an area that can be harsh to say the least, but I would have no problem taking on the elements with this knife on my hip. it is a robust tool that can handle any chore from batoning to skinning game. the Ranger passed the test with ease. razor sharp out of the box with a blade design that lends itself to skinning, chopping and even fine work. it is on the heavy side for its length but this gives the knife power to punch above its weight. the sheath does rattle but I love the fact that it is ambidextrous being that my son and I are both left handed. the fit and finish leave a little to be desired but this does not affect the overall performance. Very happy with the Ranger night stalker, Cant believe I got such a knife for that price!
