knife review
I puchased this knife last year. After using it for a while here is a list of pro's and cons. pro's, very well built, like a tank and performs just as well. Chopping, slicing, thick enough to use as a step to get over obstacles. Easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. One reason i chose this was the steel its made of. If you don't have or loose your sharpener, you can use a river/ creek stone to sharpen it, I've done it. At first I thought the handle would get slippery when wet but this is not the case. I used it to gut, skin and process a deer, worked just fine. Conns, handle is thick, is not comfortable in the hand. I fixed this by using a half round file and filing finger reliefs in the handle, now i luv it. It comes fairly sharp, now i say fairly because my idea of skarp is easily shaving hair of the arm. It comes with a very utilitarian blade angle, like a hatchet. I reground it to a 25deg angle, really wakes the knife up and widens its usage. The blade is wide, .25" but its still surprisingly agile. Only issue i had was slicing meat, of course it worked but a thinner blade works much better. I also used this knife in a mock up knife fight, the weight seemed to work as an advantage. overall its a perfect survival knife. I like to have a few different blades in the pack but if i had to go with just one, this would be it.

Cons: Handle Material
solid knife
I must clarify I've yet to use this knife in the field. Having said that, this knife feels incredibly solid. Full tang, heavy, well-built. My only complaints would be the thickness. Dare I say for me it's a bit too thick at 0.25". Also, I'm not sure about the handle material. It feels quite slippy and I don't managed a good grip. It came with a very sharp blade, and I like the sheath, which has front pocket that can fit a stone/ferro rod, etc.
