Great Knife!
I purchased 5 of these knives as gifts for my groomsmen and they were impressed by the quality. The handle of the knife is my favorite aspect of it, not only does it look great but also feels great when in your hand! I recommend this knife to anyone looking for a good quality knife.

Solid Knife for
The Quartermaster is arguably one of the best field knives that were actually put INTO the field. The steel utilized in the manufacture of this blade is sturdy, and the edge is, with a bit more sharpening, combat-ready for loads of work - the edge holds very well with this steel. The butt actually can work well as a hammer, however you may not want to ruin the beautiful brass finish. I would argue that the knife is a bit blade-heavy, and the handle is too short, making a grip a problem for folks with larger hands. By lengthening the handle by about a 1/4 inch, I think this would also solve the balance issue as well. However, this would also in essence become a new knife, and what Ontario has here is a fine reproduction of a stalwart piece of equipment. Well done!
