An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Pros: Materials, Handle Material, Blade Material, Finish, Weight, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Good Value and performance
I have looked at several of these at different gun shows, and found them all to be consistently well made. I have one in my go-bag, along with others. It's not a Randall, but is a good compromise between high dollar knives and very good performance. It'll do anything within reason, and the serrations make quick work of webbing and stringy materials. Quite sharp out of the box - don't mistake it's plain Jane appearance for lack of performance. You can beat the crap out of it spitting wood and do no harm. Just be careful - it is very capable inflicting a deadly accidental cut or intentional mortal blow. I may buy another one for use around the yard, cutting sucker limbs and the like. Money well spent.

Good knife
This was reccomended to me from someone who has experience with surival knives and it is very good, blade is very strong and is versitile enough to use for many different uses, the only thing i didnt like was the sheath it came with, i would have happily paid extra for the option of a leather sheath
