An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Ontario SP2
I like the knife it is made well and should hold up in the field well, as I did go out to one of my area's puplic lands and tried it out for trail, Hunting use, not to skin with. and it worked just fine, just needs to be sharpened a little more, although the saw back is not effective on anything bigger than a quarter inch thick. But I would reccomend this knife to anyone.

Pros: Finish, Handle Material, Blade Material, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Sheath/Scabbard, Materials
Needs to be sharpened right out of the box, sheath is combo of leather and kadex , saw back top of blade could have been made longer and deeper can't cut any thing over one quater of an inch fast, takes almost ten minutes to cut a half inch dead stick all the way through. Overall i'adsay it's a very good knife should hold up well
