Pros: Balance, Head Material, None
Cons: Handle Material, Construction
A pretty good Axe Design, some tweaking and would be outstanding.
General purpose, backpack Axe. I like the general shape and hammer head. The length of time from order to delivery would have been nice to know. Improvements for me would be 3 inch less handle length and some sort of stippleing on handle for better grip.

My go to axe
I bought this small axe for camping, hiking, and use around the farm. When it first came it, it was as sharp as my ESEE 6. I put it to hard use as soon as I got it to see if it was going to hold up to the heavy abuse that I put on axes. It held up very well. The edge remains sharp a long time and is fairly easy to resharpen. On green wood, it bites very deeply, about 1 to 3 inches depending on the tree type. On seasoned red oak logs, it cut very well and split wood better than any other axe I've used under 26 inches. The head is very well designed for different camp tasks. For its weight and size, it is the best axe to carry to me. The sheath it comes with is a decent quality leather sheath, could be improved. The axe is by far top quality and everything I expected from S.A. Wetterlings.
