Schrade

This Imperial brand Sodbuster from Schrade is a serviceable knife. It is economy priced and reasonably well made in China. It is made in the style of the old Sodbusters from the US and Germany with a non-locking blade and heavy springs to keep them open and closed.

Pros:
Cons:
Just like Grampa use to have
This is a fine product which works for skinning, castrating, cutting potato eyes, cleaning horse hooves and cutting twine. It is a well balanced light knife. I think the only thing that could make it better is some checkering on the handle, but the handle works very well in cold weather.

good knife for its purpose
This knife is inexpensive enough that the quality of it was a nice surprise. Solid blade, comfortable handle. Since I didn't pay a lot for it, I'm not afraid to let it get banged around a little at work.
