Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Sog Daggert II Great knife
This is a very nice and well built blade, the handle is very comfortable and fits in my hand well, If you have very large hands it might be a touch small but a wrapping of MCnett cammo form will take care of that, Very sharp out of the box,Nice beefy serrations very sharp, I love this knife, The only thing I dont like about this package is the sheath, The sheath has a very strange belt clip that is also bulky I have a SOG Seal Team Elite Blade And the sheath for that works well for this knife This is a great knife well worth the price, much better than the Boker Applegate Fairbairn dagger Only because of the steel used AUS8 is far superior to 440, So if you want one Be sure to buy A new sheath A Cordura Nylon one you will love this knife i know i do

The knife itself is very good
The knife itself is very good as are my others, the Gov Tac and the Tech Bowie. The sheaths that are SOG supplies with these knives are terrible. They can only be worn one way - over the belt - and the belt loop device is too wide so the knife slides back and forth on the belt. Even worse, the plastic (I don't think it's actually Kydex) is soft and the double bend on the back of the sheath is weak at the two silver attachment screws. The sheath for my Tech Bowie is already broken without any field use. Anyone wanting to seriously use these knives in the field will have to replace the sheaths.

I love mine
I have taken my daggert out into the swamps of South Carolina. I know it is not intended as a field knife but a combat knife. I figured if it could take the hardships of field work then getting close and personal should be easy for it. It handled rope cutting, package opening, cleaned fish pretty well, made fuzzy sticks easily and cleaned one rabbit. I must admit the rabbit cleaning while not hard this was not the most efficient tool for this job. All in all though it was able to handle all tasks. Once home I washed the knife thoroughly and proceeded to the kitchen it handle most vegetables very well even soft tomatoes. One of the advantages about this knife for being in the field is that you have long straight edge and a partial serrated. So if one side goes dull you have another with straight and serrated edges to carry you the distance. It is a good knife and you won't be disappointed. I also like the sheath it holds the knife tight and it is not to heavy. The only thing I thought the black finish comes off a little to easy.
