Pros: Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Handle Feel, Handle Material
I bought this knife due to its beauty and for the Kiku Matsuda signature. It's a very good knife, the blade shape is great (the fix blade is even better, but I wanted a foldable) and the Micarta gives a great feeling. I just can't understand why they didn't exploited the pattern of the upper side Micarta to give more grip to get a full 5 (and becoming a great tactical blade). The sharpness is extremely good even though the steel isn't the strongest (and unfortunately I did a steel against steel which showed its softness and is causing me to get it "in shape" again). It's well balanced and it feels very solid. It's not really light, but it fits in my pocket and I like to feel it (but not too much). For not being a gravity...it opens with just one hand at rare speed rate...really really fast and once locked the blade stays in fine (you have to "work" a lot to let the blade come a little bit out).I'm not an heavy user, therefore even not having the hardest steel (which is fairly good don't be misled by my words...not the hardest, but good anyway), is good to me....even because it's great to see (either open or closed, either blade or handle), it feel great in your hand and it's a piece that will make you a proud owner.Simply don't expect heavy duty with it.I'll buy it ten times and I suggest it to anyone. The official retail price isn't low (don't forget the Kiku signature), but it's easy to find better pricing.
