Description
SP145GP: C145GP Jens Anso Zulu
Spyderco

A Popular Mechanics article inspired a teenage Jens Anso to take a drill press and powertools to an old metal file making his first knife. When Gretzky slapped his first puck or Jordan tried out for the junior-high basketball team, history was written as it was when an older Jens hung out his knifemaking shingle and began creating inroads into innovation and modernization in knifemaking. His G-10 Zulu pioneers the process of chiseling out a handle making texture like a topographical map keeping the knife in hand. Scimitar-shaped blade with a large radius hollow grind and a sweeping spine swedge.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, None
Cons: Handle Feel, Lock Ease of Use, Ease of Opening, Lock Type
An interesting design.
A cool looking knife, but in reality I have not found it to be very practical for use. I bought it because I collect knives and the design appealed to me. I have carried it but haven't used it much. The recurved design is useful for making heavy cuts, but it is really a rather small knife for heavy work. The point is not very useful for fine work because it is so broad. The cutout for the locking mechanism is too small for my thumb, and too close to the center of the knife to provide much leverage to release the lock. The sculpted scales insure a good grip, but are not very comfortable for extended use. I moved the clip for tip-down carry, which I prefer. On the plus side it is made with a great steel - S30V, which will hold a long lasting edge, and I have found it can be dressed with a small Norton hard Arkansas stone without trouble. I've kept it because of it's looks, not much else.

A beauty to carry all day
Like the design, use it every day. Even if it looks a bit small, the knife gives me a solid grip and great trust. To unlock it needs a bit power, the only minor point. Want to thank knife center, too. They ship extremely fast and I got the knife for a reasonable price.

Excellent ,quality knife
The service by knifecenter was excellent. Received the knife in less than a week for only 2.00 shipping and I live in Alaska. The knife is well made and I really like the design of the blade and handle. It's like a scalpel on steroids. Would be better though if the handle were about a 1/4 inch longer. The size makes the knife more of a gentleman's folder than a tactical or EDC.
