Description
SWEDF1EK: F1 Pilot Survival Knife
Fallkniven

With this knife a new world standard is being set! Important factors such as technical design, ergonomy and economy are brought together within the model F1, and represent the foremost concept available today. The knife meets and surpasses by far established international standards for strength, personal security and value for money.

Mod. F1 is the official survival knife for pilots within the Swedish Air Force since 1995.

Mod. F1 represents an entirely new philosophy with respect to knives for survival use. At the same time it combines the experience of generations of knife manufacturing with modern technology. The handy size, the well thought-out design, the incredibly tough laminated steel are only a few of many details making this knife something you can rely on.

Mod. F1 is a handy knife and is tremendously versatile. The safe, pleasant grip together with a very hard yet tough laminated steel, makes the knife very useful for all kind of daily work but also demanding tasks. You can choose from two kinds of sheaths - an all-covering pouch type, which safely houses the entire knife or an extremely tough double-safety, one hand operated zytel sheath.

Zytel sheath
The injection molded zytel sheath offers a neat safe and strong combination of qualities which should be very attractive to any user.

One of the Best
Check out any knife or survival forum with experienced people & ask them to recommend a good wilderness survival knife. You can just about bet that the Fallkniven F1 will be one of the knives on the top of the list. Its size is perfect for doing a number of tasks. The convex edge comes sharp from the factory and is easy to maintain in the field. The handle is easy & comfortable to grip under all kinds of conditions. Even the zytel sheath has been thoughtfully designed. Ever use a knife outdoors in wet condtions that later turn to freezing ? Ever try to get a knife out of a tight fitting leather or kydex sheath when that moisture freezes to solid ice ? What would you do if your life depended on your knife & it was stuck in its sheath ? The owner of Fallkniven designed the zytel sheath to use under even the toughest winter conditions. I own several F1s. It is my favorite fixed blade outdoor knife.

8 years and still going strong
I've had this knife for over 8 years and i haven't had any problem with it, if i remember correctly it came super sharp and i was so pleased with my purchase. 1 thing that feels weird to me is that Fällkniven is from sweden but it is cheaper here at knifecenter than it is home in sweden. Basically a very good knife:)

Best Knife Made
I never thought anything could get me off being such a Spydeco fan, but this is the one knife that can. I have no better knife in my box, from the handle to the point. perfect dimensions for form and function and the best steel on the market, and as a bonus it is a great thickness as well. Comes sharp enough to do heart surgery. I could go on and on, but just buy that dang knife, it is easily the best 150 dollar knife you will ever think to buy. Cons, the only real con is even though the sheath is cool and holds the knife well, it can rattle. it is not form fitted like the bill moran drop point, but that is literally the only thing about this knife that is less then when comparing the two. Very good sheath, but can be improved to make it great. If you were in a knife fight with a full size Ka bar, you would probably loose, but this knife is everything it is hyped to be. If I could only have one knife, no doubt this would be it!!!
