1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Kydex Sheath
Kydex Sheath
Waterproof, scratch resistant, and low friction. It will hold its shape and makes a great alternative to leather.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Finish, Overall Quality, Weight, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
well designed tool
As a box cutter it's tops. As a working tool I can see why the next larger size has a curve to the blade edge and some bottom. I find it difficult to use my thumb as a pressure and direction guide with the current edge geometry but, what I bought it for, the edge is a dream to sharpen. The sheath has been engineered for an ideal hold. It grabs just enough. Once it loosens up I'll probably say bad words and use a toothpick to make adjustments, but out of the box it's quite impressive.

Great item.
Sturdy. Great knife, sheath grips it very well. Pretty much a shank. Super sharp. Very easy to hide. I'd like the overall length to be a tad longer, maybe half inch or more.
